Trillium Hyperloop
The Hyperloop Pod Competition is an annual event sponsored by SpaceX, where teams across the world design their version of a Hyperloop and compete to build the fastest vehicle. Last year, Western officially signed up to participate in the event. I was fortunate enough to be one of the leaders that helped start this club. I was involved in building the aerodynamic body of the vehicle. I used SolidWorks surfaces to sketch out the shape and ran CFD analysis to examine the friction drag on the body.
Western Formula Racing
The Formula Student design and build competition is a worldwide competition amongst universities with 500+ competitors. Students design, build and race their cars, gaining valuable engineering experience along the way. I had the privilege of being a part of the Western Formula Racing and helped attract new sponsors when we transitioned to the first-ever fully-electric race car in the team’s 30-year history.
